This is so good and so scary. Let me repeat, it needs to be shouted:
"God created His world to operate according to His moral law and, in His common grace, even when unbelievers follow that order there is common grace blessing. But when that moral law is violated there are natural consequences to violating that moral law. That is what we are now observing in American culture. This egregious challenge to God’s created order of things will not be done with impunity." Thank you Dr. Eckman.
Now what do we do?

Appreciated your uncompromising perspectives as usual. This is God's world, and the outcome is determined by Him. May we seek His kingdom first in these tumultuous days.

You are greatly missed. I've been trying to google your broadcasts and just came upon this. No wonder I haven't been able to find you. Your respectful way of combating injustice and the no-nonsense approach to a biblical perspective that lacks a critical spirit will be sorely missed. I can hardly listen to other Christian broadcasters who seem to be mocking those who don't line up with our belief system, pointing out flaws in others that are meaningless and setting us up to be viewed as haughty, foolish and compassionless. Your broadcast is one where I can relax and walk away with more knowledge on the subject and less hostility toward the world that we are trying to reach. I find myself praying for those in authority, crying out to God for intervention for our country and the world, knowing that "we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and the forces of darkness." Sometimes I think we forget who our battle is with, you always remind us of that. Who will take your place as a voice of reason in the Christian community?? We have a few that are rooted and grounded, but others who are content to stir up contention and negative emotions with nowhere to release them except on the unbeliever, who doesn't understand our hostility. God help us!! And God bless you for the role you have played all these years. Thank you for changing my perspective!

Dear Peggy;
In Psalm 145 also we can find that God loves all he has created. Anyone who is not kind to animals or our mother earth as a whole creation from God does not know God. God is love. Love is not just for human beings. If we open our hearts and eyes to the word of God, by having dominion over everything we need to know we have a grave responsibility twards all. This does not mean open season to do whatever we want with God's creation. We must treasure and love all that God has created. I also have left a church cause some of their prayer warriors had a problem with some people that walked their dogs in the parking lot of that church. Or i've known pastors that go hunting with their sons and killing the poor animals and think nothing of it. Killing is killing. Is there not enough animals killed for our over eating physical bodies? Ignorant christians that do not boder to grow in love, hurt true christianity and ignore God's word. We have to love animals and all that God has created. God loves animals too. He watches over the sparrow. Jesus was born in a stable amongst animals , so i'm sure God loves animals that had his son be born amongst them. After jesus there were no sacrifice of animals as Jews used to do and even to this day Muslems and jews do this violant act of murdering animals for our sins. So i believe for all i know Jesus also died for animals and put a stop to the nonsense of sacrificing innocent animals for our sins!!!! We either have love in our hearts for all God's creation or we just are fooling ourselves. God bless you for taking care of the kitty and yes leave that so called church thet their pastors are such cruel people. We don't have to go to these kind of churches to go to heaven !!!! I will never set foot in a church that is not animal and nature friendley. Thank you for caring for the kitty. God loves you . God bless you.

Dr. E.,

Your voice of reason will be missed via the airwaves. I (and my wife) am thankful that you will continue to write. May our Lord bless you as you continue to enlighten God's children in what may be the last days.

One can draw philosophical support from the ideas of another without becoming a devotee of every idea of the former. Even as Christian's, we can give intellectual assent to ideas popularized by Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, etc. where they agree with our spiritual outlook. Why not with Any Rand? Undoubtedly, though she despised their movement, libertarians have drawn upon much from her beliefs, such as the ideas of limited government, personal responsibility, etc., although many libertarians do not share her negative views of religion, myself being one. Ron Paul, who is one of my heroes, has said that he regards her works as valuable in getting him to closely examine many ideas that he had taken for granted as true and sharpen his outlook. There is no doubt that Rand's books, The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged are masterpieces of the human spirit, and I have enjoyed reading them and feel energized by them. For me, as a Christian, Rand will never be "St. Ayn" but I'm not looking to worship her, only to glean what knowledge and wisdom she might contain. Worship remains the rhelm of God only.

Tim Tebow takes as many hits from Christians as he does from unbelievers. Many evangelicals criticize his open prayers on the field as hypocrisy. Others criticize his openness as if being transparent about your religious beliefs in the public eye is some kind of violation of the constitution (church and state). Tim appears able to stand above the fray and I think it is because he is, fundamentally, true to who he is - an unashamed believer and a stand-up man. That's an inspiration. We all should have the sort of grit it takes to stand up for what we believe under that kind of scrutiny. That's what character is. Tim has it, so does my Dad and I hope I can do the same. Why I admire my Dad and Tim Tebow, win or lose. http://bit.ly/u3EHry
