Grace University has the largest new student enrollment in more than 30 years. The number of new students arriving on campus from across the country total 161, which is a 55 percent increase over 2012. This is also the second consecutive year that enrollment has increased for the private, Christian university. Enrollment data show that while the top number of students are from Nebraska, California is ranked as the number two home state for new Grace University students. Grace University’s new executive director of athletics and athletic development has hit the bases running and is already serving the community in his first days in his new hometown.
Thaddis Bosley Jr., who is helping architect the expansion of Grace University athletics and leading the new Grace University baseball team, is using his love for Christ and skill at baseball during Fellowship of Christian Athlete outreach events held prior to the NCAA College World Series held annually in Omaha. Omaha, Neb.—Grace University has announced the hiring of former major league player and coach Thaddis Bosley, Jr., to lead the expansion of its athletic programs.
“Thad Bosley’s leadership experience, vision, passion for growth and development of young people, and communication ability has prepared him for leading our athletics to a new level of excellence,” said Dr. David Barnes, president of Grace University. “Our teams have a long history of performing well on and off the field. Thad will be able to move our students to the next level athletically, academically and spiritually.”

Grace University has announced the addition of women’s soccer to its lineup of varsity athletic programs as part of an overall undergraduate and graduate program expansion and development of a top-ranked athletic program.
World Cup soccer player and former Husker Tanya Franck Benning has been selected as the first head coach of the women’s soccer team. Coach Benning has a strong collegiate and professional background and a solid reputation in the metro soccer community. Her strengths include her solid tactical skills and her talent for developing the character of her players. These traits make her a compelling recruiter both locally and nationally.
